Technical Service Engineer

 

 

Tasks :

 

The technical service engineer will be in charge of the technical support to customers. This involves a close relationship with customers and a customer-oriented mindset. The position’s scope is a mix of technical investigation and analyses, technical presentations and customers meeting and follow-up of customer’s new project evaluation and new product qualification.

      Work closely with Technical Service-, Quality-, Customer Care -, Production and R&D-Departments

      Developing long-term relationships with customers and deal with customer’s technical complaints/requests/products qualifications

      Analyse samples, communicate technical solutions, produce technical reports

      Making technical presentations & demonstrating how a product meets customer needs

 

Profile:

 

      Has a master degree in engineering, materials sciences, chemistry or physics or a bachelor's degree in industrial sciences or equivalent with significant experience

      Is fluent in English with excellent communication skills (French will be an asset)

      Experience in Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) as well as in analytical methods like Energy Dispersive X-Ray (EDX) Spectroscopy and Fourrier-Transformed Infra-Red (FTIR) Spectroscopy is welcome.

      Experience with statistical analysis softwares (Minitab, JMP, etc) will be an asset

      Knowledge in Printed Circuit Board manufacturing is welcome

      Six sigma methods will be an advantage

      Is willing to travel

      Has ability to build relationships quickly and effectively

      Has a strong leadership and good negotiation skills

      Is independent and self-reliable

      Is well organized with a structured mind-set
